WEEK 5 Post 3

                                                                          Week 5 Post 3 

      This last post of week 5 is going to be an update about our filming status, where we are at what we have filmed and where have gone to film it. 

   So this past weekend we did a lot of the off school campus filming. So we got together on our own time. First we get all of our clips at my house because it is close to shoppes and the beach. We first went into the little town area I live in and got clips of the girls together. And we got clips of them riding the bikes together. Then we went to the beach during the day and got shots of them going to the beach and being at the beach. But we knew we could get better clips at sunset. So we went back at sunset and got more clips of the girls on the beach. Clips looking like they took them of themselves and also ones where they don't know they are being filmed, candid looking. Keep in mind throughout these periods of filming we were changing outfits so it gives the effect that these clips were filmed over the span of the life of the girls. 

    Also as mentioned before we are going to do shots of pictures from when the girls were younger, so we were able to find some old photos that could be "us" together when shot in a clip. We ddin;t get clips of them because most of them are digital photos so we have to figure out how will will film them. We were thinking about how we are going to film the picture clips and realized we will have to put more effort into it hen just recording the picture for a few seconds because that wont be an entertaining clip. So, of course we have to print them out. And we were thinking of putting them in a frame, and put it on a dresser. And having the dresser decorated "girly" and "young". Therefore it looks like it is on one of the girls dresser. Another idea we had to incorporate teh picture idea to show the girls grew up together is to print out the picture and put in something to hang it on the rear view mirror for the driving scene. We will take the shot when the girls are getting in the car or while driving. Something like this but the picture is the girls.


     We will not be able to film anything else until next week on Monday and then we plan to get clips of the driving scenes of the car, because those will be taken at Kate's house.

WEEK 2 - Film Opening Portfolio Project

Week 2 Blog post 3   Technology:   The technology that we will be using for our project is simple . First, we will be filming on our own apple phones for our camera , which is an iPhone 13 camera. Besides the camera, our teacher does have additional equipment to better the quality of our filming . He has some mics to record voices clearly, if you have an intro that has dialogue . Although our video will have a voice over so we will record a voice memo and edit it to play over our video. Since we are going to be filming on ou r phones , we need tools that will improve the quality of our filming technique. So, we are offered to borrow a  tripod this will help tremendously with making shots steadier and more professional looking. CCR Post 2

 Critical Reflection Project #2           For the second CCR Post My group and I did a podcast. I also will be posting my answer typed out to get  a better idea of my interpretation and answer of the question across better. The question I answered was " How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?" My answer: I feel typical coming of age movies can vary in plot and maturity offering ways to entertain lots of different audiences . Although considering our film I feel that it gravitates towards a more spec i fic group with our characters and plot. I would say that it most closely targets young people, teenage age and thinking more specifically I would think that it target girls mor e than boys.
