                                                                     Finishing Filming

      As we are entering week six we realize our project is coming to an end and things need to be wrapping up. This week we finished all of our filming and have made many more moves in the finalizing direction. We knew we were slightly behind in the filming process as we only had half of our clips so on this past Tuesday of this week we decided that we were going to finish filming. We came to my house since I live very close to the beach also near a little beach town called "St. Armands Circle" which has shoppes and restraurant's which we thought might be a fitting setting to get some clips.

      First we went to the beach and got most of all of our beach clips around sunset time. Next we got the car clips done. We used Hallie's car because she has her license. Most of the clips are from the backseat point of view, as it was the best option to capture everything. We had clips of us driving together having fun then moved onto filming the car crash. We just made it quick just to imply the car crashed and will add the sound effect over the title slide for the project so that it can easily be inferred that they got into an accident, although without having to film to much of it. First of all it would be hard to film with the little resources we had, so it would be challenging to make it look good and would be very homemade looking. Which is hard to avoid but we tried to avoid as much as possible. After that we came back to my house and by then the sun was setting so we walked to some of the pretty sites. We went to places like a little bridge and got some clips of the girls together with the perfect view in the back. Then we went back into my house and decided we needed more clips for the second half of the project, where Riley is sad. So we got some clips of Riley(me) doing daily things, as well as things that her and Blair used to do together. Including her going places that we previously filmed them together and Riley reminiscing and looking back on photos and memories. After that the sun had set so we decided that we needed to get one more clip of the picture frames with the girls young an older to show that they grew up together. So we put them next to each other on a desk and had the camera focus on one and then had it focus on the other one. Then we had most fo our clips complete and the next post covers all about how we started editing this week! Also once we finish refining the clips a little more I will go back to this post and add screenshots of some of the clips and the date as a note of how far we have come from this post.

WEEK 2 - Film Opening Portfolio Project

Week 2 Blog post 3   Technology:   The technology that we will be using for our project is simple . First, we will be filming on our own apple phones for our camera , which is an iPhone 13 camera. Besides the camera, our teacher does have additional equipment to better the quality of our filming . He has some mics to record voices clearly, if you have an intro that has dialogue . Although our video will have a voice over so we will record a voice memo and edit it to play over our video. Since we are going to be filming on ou r phones , we need tools that will improve the quality of our filming technique. So, we are offered to borrow a  tripod this will help tremendously with making shots steadier and more professional looking. CCR Post 2

 Critical Reflection Project #2           For the second CCR Post My group and I did a podcast. I also will be posting my answer typed out to get  a better idea of my interpretation and answer of the question across better. The question I answered was " How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?" My answer: I feel typical coming of age movies can vary in plot and maturity offering ways to entertain lots of different audiences . Although considering our film I feel that it gravitates towards a more spec i fic group with our characters and plot. I would say that it most closely targets young people, teenage age and thinking more specifically I would think that it target girls mor e than boys.
