WEEK 5 Post 2

                                                                           Week 5 Post 2


Meetings: This week during class we talk everyday about how we are going to move foward with the project. Such as when we can film and when we want to be done filming and fully moved onto editing. So far the next time we can film is next Monday because we will not be able to fill this weekend. So we plan to fill next week during the week and next weekend. And by then we plan to be completely done filming as we will be reaching some of our last weeks. We are also thinking of moving onto editing with the clips we do have because one of our 8 weeks for this project is during spring break. So we are ultimately loosing a week and can't work on adobe outside of school. 

Things that have changed: So far as we where planning in the earlier weeks we made plans and expectations that were going to change as time went on and we got further into the filming process. So I am goin ot talk about what inn the production process has filmed to contrast from where we started 5 weeks ago. So first one of the things is music, we were planning on having songs we knew with words, but now we realize we have to use royalty free music that is instrumental. So that makes the feel of the film different than we had invisioned. Also we had changed some of he settings of the clips. So we had originally planned just a few a hallway clip and clip of the girls planning their weekend plans to be the only ones filmed at school. But since we realized we will need a lot of footage to fill the last minute of the film we took more clips at school of "Riley" alone. Such as clips of her at lunch, clips off her not interacting and by herself and blowing people off. To show how she is isolating herself. And the last thing that we have changed, we were able to more easily predict it was going to change, the film schedule. When we made it it was a goal outline but we knew things would come up so we have changed the days we film, and unfortunately they have been pushed back, but of course the clips will get filmed. And despite the messy following of the outline it has still been help to have a schedule to reference back to and and bring back into focus the projects priorities.

WEEK 2 - Film Opening Portfolio Project

Week 2 Blog post 3   Technology:   The technology that we will be using for our project is simple . First, we will be filming on our own apple phones for our camera , which is an iPhone 13 camera. Besides the camera, our teacher does have additional equipment to better the quality of our filming . He has some mics to record voices clearly, if you have an intro that has dialogue . Although our video will have a voice over so we will record a voice memo and edit it to play over our video. Since we are going to be filming on ou r phones , we need tools that will improve the quality of our filming technique. So, we are offered to borrow a  tripod this will help tremendously with making shots steadier and more professional looking. CCR Post 2

 Critical Reflection Project #2           For the second CCR Post My group and I did a podcast. I also will be posting my answer typed out to get  a better idea of my interpretation and answer of the question across better. The question I answered was " How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?" My answer: I feel typical coming of age movies can vary in plot and maturity offering ways to entertain lots of different audiences . Although considering our film I feel that it gravitates towards a more spec i fic group with our characters and plot. I would say that it most closely targets young people, teenage age and thinking more specifically I would think that it target girls mor e than boys.
