WEEK 3 Post 1

                                                                  Week 3 Post 1    

    Welcome back to my Media Studies Blog! It is now already week 3, and we are getting closer and closer to finishing our planning steps and starting to create our video. We became one step close by creating a shooting schedule, we may edit days as we can add more or end up not being able to one of the mentioned days. But so far this is our initial plan and the current schedule we are basing off of. We plan on using our beachy setting to our advantage, to help capture the aesthetic of the film. 

2/17-19- The group will be shooting beach scenes and driving scenes. These scenes are very important because they are showing their bond which creates a sentimental feeling and the car scene is when the tragic death happens. 


2/20-27- This week we will be photo shopping baby pictures that are our own, to look like the two main actors have been friends for a long time. For example, we will utilize older pictures of ourselves to be used for the "past" and picture shots to show how they grew up together. Also, hangout scenes will be shot at each other's houses. 


2/27- End of project, at this time we will be editing clips at school. We will trim the clips to make sure that they are the right times, and will crop/adjust them so they are not crooked or shaky. For narration we will record voiceovers using the adobe microphone software. If needed we will reshoot any videos if they are not lit correctly, or have bad audio. For audio we will make sure to mute the background noise so that the audio is focused on the actors, and/or song. 


    (Also on these shooting days, since we have completed the script we will be recording the voice overs for both parts.)

WEEK 2 - Film Opening Portfolio Project

Week 2 Blog post 3   Technology:   The technology that we will be using for our project is simple . First, we will be filming on our own apple phones for our camera , which is an iPhone 13 camera. Besides the camera, our teacher does have additional equipment to better the quality of our filming . He has some mics to record voices clearly, if you have an intro that has dialogue . Although our video will have a voice over so we will record a voice memo and edit it to play over our video. Since we are going to be filming on ou r phones , we need tools that will improve the quality of our filming technique. So, we are offered to borrow a  tripod this will help tremendously with making shots steadier and more professional looking. CCR Post 2

 Critical Reflection Project #2           For the second CCR Post My group and I did a podcast. I also will be posting my answer typed out to get  a better idea of my interpretation and answer of the question across better. The question I answered was " How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?" My answer: I feel typical coming of age movies can vary in plot and maturity offering ways to entertain lots of different audiences . Although considering our film I feel that it gravitates towards a more spec i fic group with our characters and plot. I would say that it most closely targets young people, teenage age and thinking more specifically I would think that it target girls mor e than boys.
